he atomic bombs launched over Japan do not mean only the end of the Second World War in 1945. his is also the starting point for growing interest of the peripheries countries to obtain such technology. he focus of these countries is not warlike but a development opportunity. he current paper explores the change in the foreign cooperation policy of the United States linked to the knowledge of nuclear energy and the relation between Argentina and the United States during the process of nuclear development of the southern country until the building of the irst nuclear reactor RA-1.
